Amid Russia’s ongoing aggression, Ukraine’s energy system is being tested every day. The enemy constantly changes tactics, and we must keep finding new ways to maintain light and heat. This year, we will talk about how the war has changed both global and local challenges, which technologies and solutions will shape the recovery of the energy system, and what is needed to move toward a decentralized, secure, and sustainable energy future in times of hybrid threats.
Today, energy security is about more than generation or backup capacities. It is built at the intersection of technology, resilience, trust, and partnership. Ukraine is creating a new foundation for this DNA — from developing decentralized energy and innovative solutions to protect critical infrastructure, to expanding backup power sources and increasing the flexibility of the energy system.
